  • 2015

    Nelson emerged as Runner-Up for Market Research for Samudhrakshak Project in Association of Indian Management Scholars (AIMS) International Summer Internship Competition (AISIC - 2014) conducted at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Kozhikode for the Market Research on the new product development for the people at Bottom of the Pyramid.

    Inspired to work on Information Technology Research while pursuing his final semester of MBA in Washington D.C., United States of America. after analysing the difficulties faced by the people using internet. So decided to work on the fourth dimension technology.

    The beta development initiated after performing a gap analysis on the fourth dimension technology, studied the market, and the scope determined.

  • 2014

    Topped one among the Top 6 out of 5979 Business Plans in the Social Track of Eureka 2013 – Entrepreneurship Summit organized by E-Cell – Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay, Department of Science and Technology and INTEL Inc.

    Emerged as the Winner in 123GO! - Business Plan Competition conducted by Ministry of Entrepreneurship at MOP Vaishnav College for Women (Autonomous), Chennai.

    Research on Market Study and Thesis Writing on the new product development at Prof. C K Prahalad Centre for Emerging India, LIBA for the people at the Bottom of the Pyramid.

    Winner - Represented India at the Grand Finale of INDIAFRICA Business Venture Contest 2014, supported by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and Africa, conducted at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

  • 2013

    Nelson started his venture named Classmate India technologies Private Limited, a legal entity, to take his research activities more a corporate.

    Nelson joined Loyola Institute of Business Administration to enhance the ability to conduct/convert the research solutions into practical usable product. He met Sage and Marshall and engaged in forming a new team, along with Rajesh, giving birth to the team named as ‘Samudhrakshak’. The project Maritime Border Indicator took its new shape to gain the business perspective.

    Pitched and Awarded as Best Business Plan at Annual International Business Summit in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Bangalore for Maritime Border Indicator.

    Pitched and Awarded as Nationwide Runners Up for Masterplan at Annual International Business Summit in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Ahmedabad for Maritime Border Indicator.

  • 2012

    Nelson received a telephonic invitation from Former President of India, distinguished Indian scientist and father of missile technology, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, for a meeting to discuss, appreciate and give his blessings for the research work carried on Maritime Border Indicator, a Fishermen Lifeline gadget, at Raj Bhavan, Chennai, TN, India. This meeting turned up as a turning point in Nelson’s career choice, since then he dedicated his life to carry on research for the betterment of people on earth.

    Field Study for Maritime Border Indicator (MBI) is carried out at Rameshwaram, Tamilnadu with the help of Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Hovercraft H181.

    For gaining financial support and aid for the research, Nelson took up a job as Software Engineer with iGate Patni, and worked as consultant to few other companies.

  • 2011

    Completed the prototype design and testing of Maritime Border Indicator - the creation of fishermen’s lifeline gadget, a terminal named as Maritime Border Indicator, primarily uses the latitude and longitude positioning system, constant calibration and evaluation of coordinates takes place, and alerts the fishermen from trespassing into foreign waters.

    Nelson graduated successfully as a four year consecutive awardee of Achiever Award and received the award for ‘The Best Project’ for Maritime Border Indicator from the parent institution St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Anna university, Chennai

    Nelson received Honorary Award from Inspector General Hon'ble S.P.Sharma, PTM,TM, Commander, Coast Guard Region (East), Indian Coast Guard, Government of India, for Maritime Border Indicator.

    The research work on Maritime Border Indicator was presented at Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi; the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) declared and awarded Innovative Student Project Award for the year 2011 after multiple rounds of evaluation and intense scrutiny.

  • 2010

    During Nelson's final year of engineering, as he read across the news headlines, he found that, the fishermen folks got apprehended, arrested and killed by the neighboring countries' Navy, for unknowingly crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) . So he honestly believed on technology, and worked on finding a practical technological solution to address the issue.

    Design Feasibility proved and a Preliminary Design of prototype for Maritime Border Indicator is designed to create an impact on the fishermen community; the problem's intensity was so prominent in Tamilnadu (India) fishermen community located at Rameshwaram.

  • 2008-2009

    First official thesis prepared on bioresearch paper on bioluminescence, in the field of biotechnology.

    Structured the knowledge and creativity together, step forwarded to the world of technology and established a reputation for the thesis on energy conservation for sustainable world and was awarded for presenting this thesis by SPIC industries, TVS Group, Anna University etc.

    Craving for social entrepreneurship continued, wanted to create a difference in the society, and hence carried out various researches to address the social needs for the people of the mother earth.

  • 2006-2007

    Nelson put his first step towards the internet world, by starting a primary website hosting and an online forum named as, nichoztings and OS friendly respectively.

    On September 5, 2007, Nelson took a new route to establish himself as an Engineering Graduate by joining St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai and was keenly engaged in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering to acquire technology know-how.
